More than anything in this class, I would have liked a book. The class notes and exercises are good, but lack structure.

After significant searching of my personal library, online and also the Luxembourg Bibliotheque National, I found Wooldridge, Teach Yourself Visually: HTML5, Wiley, 2011.

Major challenges encountered:

It is hard to explain the frustration of the difficulty to make these zones display where intended.

The HTML is simple enough

but the CSS is sublimely complicated, and apparently, not close to being standardized. For instance, one reads that "nav" bars are supposed to be fixed to the top of a viewport. But they aren't, at least not, by themselves.

The engagement & expertise of the instructor is appreciated:

He displayed an in-depth applied knowledge of the topics, and made special efforts to help the students learn.

Are there moral questions to draw from all this?

Just the normal ones from being a student: The value of diligently putting the right time in.
